A Bit About Me

I’m Colin Pattison, owner and filmmaker at Featherstone Wedding Films. I film weddings because I believe in the power of marriage. I’ve helped countless couples create their ideal wedding film for over 10 years. My goal is to capture lasting memories through beautiful, personalized wedding films. From first consultation, to finished film, I’ll be with you every step of the way.

Over the years, I’ve worked with countless photographers. Maria Olech and Jim Vetter are two of the most talented, experienced, and fun photographers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. They have both begun working together with Featherstone Wedding Films to bring wedding photography services to our clients, in addition to the wedding films we are known for.

I started in the wedding business after completing a Bachelors of Fine Arts. I always loved the culmination of two lives coming together. After a few years abroad in Japan, I returned to the US to complete a photography degree from the Hallmark Institute of Photography, where I graduated in the top ten of my class. I then worked for world renowned wedding photographer Bambi Cantrell for 3 years, before once again running my own business. I've been capturing the magic of weddings for over ten years now, shooting in all kinds of environments for all kinds of couples and publications.

I love spending time with my wife, three kids, and two big rambunctious dogs. I also love traveling, trying new foods, and learning about different cultures.
